Welcome to Pro Wrestling Spotlight! I'm excited to sit down with Jay Luxx and talk about what makes him the IT BOY of wrestling.

Hey, Jay! I see you were recently featured in Antuan Magazine and your photos look very juicy! What was that photo shoot like? What drew you to that magazine and are any of the reasons similar to what drew you to wrestling?

Hello! Thank you for having me! Shooting for Antuan was so much fun! I always enjoy any time I get the chance to shoot for a magazine and this one was especially fun to be a part of. The styling was done by Marc Miller, editor-in-chief of Antuan, in collaboration with Patrick Church. I absolutely loved the pieces that I wore and think we captured the vibe perfectly. It was giving expensive, it was giving sexy, it was giving IT BOY. I love any magazine that celebrates beauty and boldness in one’s self-expression.

That's what drew me to wrestling since I was 8 years old. Wrestlers such as Maryse, John Morrison, Melina, and WWE Hall of Famer, Shawn Michaels showed me that it is okay to be bold and unapologetic and that is something that I love about Antuan and apply to myself in wrestling. I love expressing myself through fashion and looks. Being able to do that through wrestling makes it all that more enjoyable for me. I take great inspiration from the fashion world and my years modeling and apply it to everything that is the “IT BOY.”

Bold is such a perfect word for you! What are three other words that your fans would use to describe you?

Next-level, multifaceted, and cunty. Next-level because I am bringing the next level what a wrestler looks like. Talks like. Moves like. I’m bringing something that hasn’t been seen before and we’re just in the beginning stages. Multifaceted because I’m also a singer and make music, I model, I’m college educated, and have my foot in a lot of creative pools. Cunty because c'mon. Just take a look at my Instagram.

You are definitely multifaceted and I think that's what makes people gravitate to you. Your aura! Speaking of which, what does Jay Luxx's "aura" look like? What song captures that feeling?

My aura feels bright, almost blinding, but you can’t look away. It’s expensive, powerful, and magnetic, like a fantasy that’s also a little dangerous. It’s the kind of energy that makes you feel like the baddest bitch just walked into the room and everyone’s been put on notice. It’s threatening but in a way that pulls you in instead of pushing you away. If I had to pick a color, it would be electric purple: vibrant and intense. The song that would match my aura is "Von Dutch" by Charli XCX. The party vibe is exactly what I feel like when I’m in my element. Charli just gets it and that song is the perfect soundtrack to that feeling of owning the room.

I love that. You command attention once you step in the ring! So, what's your signature wrestling move and finisher? What made you choose them?

My finishing move is what I call the "It Factor" and it is a flying pump knee. I chose this move because I wanted a finisher that I could hit out of nowhere, and a move that was vicious. Something that I could hit on anybody no matter the size. I think an "out of nowhere" move is a must in any wrestler’s move set. I’ve gone viral twice for a move that I call the "Bussy Buster." I’m still trying to find a PG name for it, haha. I would say that is definitely one of my signature moves. It is a variation of a face buster. I got this move from "The Killa Queen," Madison Rayne. As a kid I absolutely loved watching The Beautiful People on TNA and when I saw Madison do this move for the first time, I immediately knew that I was going to incorporate that move into my move set once I became a wrestler.

Iconic moves that you no doubt featured in your wrestling debut! That was at Pound Town Wrestling's Light It Up PPV in April 2024, right? What did you expect from yourself and the match? Did you take anything from it that you've brought into your next matches?

Debuting in Pound Town Wrestling was such an incredible experience. It was very surreal working alongside Ariane Andrew, who I used to watch on TV growing up. I am incredibly grateful that she gave me the opportunity to make my debut on her promotion.

Going into [my] match, I didn’t know what to expect. I flew into LA and checked out the venue and it felt very full circle for me. As if my moment had finally come. The moment for everybody to see who the IT BOY really is. I won the qualifier's Battle Royal by throwing out Keita and at that moment I knew I was doing what I was made for. I quickly had to prepare myself for the fatal four way and while I didn’t come out victorious, I know I left an impression. I learned a lot about myself in that match and how much I want this. It felt like I belonged and it solidified what I always knew about myself. That I am a star. 2024 was just the beginning for Jay Luxx. We’re just warming up and I’m so excited to bring something new and fresh into the world of wrestling. The IT BOY is taking over.
